The water sample is acidified to uniformly convert fluorine-containing substances into fluorine ions. After adjusting the solution's pH, a characteristic color developer is added to react with fluoride ions to form a complex with a specific color. Under irradiation of light of a certain wavelength, the absorbance of this complex is proportional to the concentration of fluoride ions. By precisely measuring the absorbance of the complex with a spectrophotometer, the instrument can estimate the concentration of fluoride in the water sample, enabling online monitoring of fluoride content. This method offers high accuracy and wide applicability, accurately reflecting the actual state of fluoride in water quality.
